One of the best books I had the fortune to get my hands on in ... maybe the last two or three years, maybe even longer. I got it as part of a storybundle, started reading - and simply was not able to put it down. Fastpacing, thrilling, romantic, magic, nailbiting ... with wellwritten characters and so stunning revelations that it literally takes you breath away.For any fans of Susan Collins' Hunger Games or Veronica Roth's Divergent-series out there - READ THE BOOK! And don't stop here, but read the follow-ups, too. You won't be disappointed. There are two of these, "Compete" and "Win", with a fourth book soon to be hitting the shelves (soon, as in probably end 2018/start 2019), named "Survive"So, and because I don't want to be snerkish ...100% RECOMMENDED!!
This book is far from your ordinary dark dystopian fantasy, so don't be mislead by the description. Vera Nazarian simply uses the premise of threathened extinction to earth as a background on which she unfolds this rich story of the main character's development and coming of age. The quality of writing is superb- and I must admit that it was just for this fact alone that I kept reading beyond the first pages, because I don't like dystopian fantasies. However, she ingeniously pulls you into the story with such ease - it's what every reader is despeartely looking for in a novel. The plot is strong, the characters very well devoloped and the world building is impressive. You won't regret giving this book a try!
Vera has created a masterpiece that connects some good old Earthly legend with beautiful science fiction, amazing world, friendship, love, advanced technology and a plot that is otherworldly. The characters are so real, the whole story beyond imaginable addictive. It is the likes of Harry Potter phenomenon and I truly hope that the word spreads about it. Any book lover would be missing a big deal not to read it. I am a lecturer and I read a lot for work and pleasure.The Atlantis Grail was a pleasure pure! I love getting lost in a completely new world, good plot and believable characters. To be honest I was getting seriously disappointed that 99% of any science fiction available to read was always based on war.In a world where we seem to be stuck and the arts of film and books are more or less repeating themselves by creating 55 versions of Superman, Batman, Alien, Blade Runner, space operas with Galactic Wars with very little imagination, Atlantis grail has swept me off my feet with its originality. It never happened before but I read all 3 books TWICE, back to back!Five stars are not enough for all the beauty and creativity. This series would be no less significant as a movie or a TV series than many other literacy gems that had almost been lost.You will understand only if you read it. No, I do not know Vera Nazarian and I have not been asked to write a review.In fact, I do not remember ever before writing any feedback on Amazon.I stumbled upon the book on Amazon just by searching sci-fi to read on my holiday.
