A really good read, and easy to follow, and sounds mostly instuitive. It is a good reminder if you are familiar with this kind of thinking, and really easy to follow if you're new to it. Above all, it keeps things "short and sweet" and can easily be read in an afternoon.
The title "What Are You Hungry For?" directly expresses what Deepak is talking about. Excessive weight is not only a bodily condition, it's the materialized and visible component of your whole being.Obviously, diet thinking can not alter your situation or bring you permanent (weight) change. It's the whole you that is challenged - and that will benefit from some simple steps you do.So, going the Deepak way will transform you as a whole and loosing excessive pounds, I would call it a "side effect".
Ich habe mir diese Version bestellt um mein Englisch ein wenig zu trainieren. Mit einem Kindle (Touch in meinem Fall) ist das eine wahre Freude. Unbekanntes Wort markieren, übersetzen lassen, weiter gehts... Zumal auch bei diesem Klassiker auffällt, dass die deutsche Übersetzung manches mal etwas trocken gegenüber dem Original wirkt. Zum Englisch auffrischen wunderbar und zum Lesen kann man dieses Buch jedem, wirklich jedem, etwas offenerem Geist empfehlen.Über einen Klick auf den "Ja"-Button zu meiner Rezension freue ich mich.

This book is my bible. I bought it years ago and read it many many times. Easy to read, too, as English is not my first language.
Einerseits propagiert Deepak Chopra in diesem Buch, dass Diäten wirkungslos sind, weil sie nicht den Bedürfnissen des Körpers entsprechen, andererseits beschäftigt sich der Großteil des Buches mit ayurvedischer Ernährung / Rezepten, die dem Leser als einzig wahre Ernährungsweise ans Herz gelegt wird.Auf mich wirkt dieses Buch wie ein nicht ganz stimmiger Zusammenschnitt von Chopras anderen, teilweise eigentlich recht guten Büchern. Ich habe es zurückgeschickt.
Der erste Teil ist wirklich lesenswert, hilfreich und interessant.Der zweite Teil wird dann sehr generalistisch und eher ausufernd. Ich weiß allerdings nicht, ob ich es noch einmal kaufen würde. Wohl eher nicht.
